This website, engageddestinations.com, and the guest portal within it are operated by Engaged Destinations ("Engaged", "we", "us"), a vacation-rental and property-management company based in Naples, Florida. By using the site you agree to the terms below. They are written to be read; if anything is unclear, ask us.

Using the site

The site describes homes we manage; experiences, charters, vehicles and events offered by us and by local businesses we work with ("partners"); and our magazine and press room. Descriptions, photographs and prices are given in good faith and may change. Availability and price for a stay are shown live when you search, and the figure on the confirmation page is the one you are asked to pay.

You may use the site to look, to enquire, to book, and to manage your own stays. You may not copy it, scrape it, interfere with it, or use it to send unsolicited messages to our partners or guests.

Accounts

You may create an account as a guest. Keep your password to yourself; what is done with your account is your responsibility until you tell us it has been compromised. You must be at least 18 to hold an account or make a booking. We may close an account that is used to abuse the site, our partners or our team.

Homeowner and partner accounts are created by us by invitation.

Booking a stay

A reservation request made on this site is a request. Your dates are held while we confirm — usually within a few hours — and nothing is charged until we do. When we confirm, you receive a written confirmation with a secure link to pay, and the booking is complete when payment is received. Where instant booking is switched on, payment is taken at the time of booking through our payment provider and the confirmation follows.

Every stay is subject to the price, minimum stay, house rules, occupancy limit and cancellation terms shown to you before you press Book and repeated on your confirmation. Those terms are part of your agreement with us. Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out by 10:00 AM Eastern time unless your confirmation says otherwise. Taxes — Florida sales tax and the Collier County tourist development tax — are shown separately and collected by us.

A confirmation number identifies your reservation. Anyone who has it together with the last name on the booking can look the reservation up on this site; keep it as you would a ticket.

Sharing a trip

A guest may add the people travelling with them to a booking by email. Those people can then see the itinerary and, in the week before arrival, the house details — the Wi-Fi, the door code and the house instructions. Add only people who are staying with you, and treat the door code as you would a key. You are responsible for the conduct of everyone you add.

Experiences, partners and events

Restaurants, charters, chefs, spas and other businesses in the directory and the magazine are independent of Engaged. When you arrange an experience through the site we pass your request to the partner and confirm the time with you; the service itself is provided by the partner under its own terms and at its own prices. Events on the Events page are put on by their organisers and details may change without notice. Partners pay for their placement in the directory and the magazine; a placement is a paid listing, not our endorsement of every detail of their service, although we only list businesses we have visited and would send a guest to.

Corporate stays and workspace

Office space described on the Corporate Stays page is operated by Engaged Offices at a separate location from any residence. It is reserved separately, on its own terms, and is never included in the price of a home.

Content and trademarks

The text, photographs, maps, design and code of this site belong to Engaged Destinations or are used with permission. The watercolor neighborhood maps are ours. You may not reproduce any of it without our written consent. The Press Room links to stories published elsewhere; those stories, and the names and marks of partners and publications, belong to their owners.

Liability

To the extent permitted by Florida law, Engaged is not liable for loss arising from reliance on information on this site, from the acts or omissions of independent partners or event organisers, from interruption or unavailability of the site, or from a reservation request that we do not confirm. Our liability to you in connection with a stay is governed by the terms of that stay. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute about the site are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and the courts of Collier County, Florida have jurisdiction.
